The Vermont chapter of the American Federation of Teachers has published a list of candidate endorsements, covering statewide offices as well as state House and Senate seats.
Senate candidates talk drugs, development
Proposals ranging from increased funding for drug treatment to aggressive subsidies for residential solar programs emerged Thursday night from candidates for Rutland County’s seats in the Vermont Senate.
All seven candidates — three Democrats, three Republicans and one independent — met for the forum organized and broadcast by PEG-TV. The format involved seven questions put to each candidate in turn. The first three questions dealt with the city’s drug problem, economic development and solar power development.
