The 11th annual Rutland County Democrats Women’s Brunch will be held this year at the Mountain Top Inn and Resort and will include a semi-formal brunch and addresses by three keynote speakers.  This year’s speakers will include:

Jeanne A. Morrissey

Jeanne A. Morrissey is a civil engineer and owner of the construction company,
JA Morrissey, Inc. For more than 30 years, she has successfully managed all manner of construction projects, using her commitment to building quality relationships as the cornerstone of her success. In the spring of 2012, Jeanne introduced President Obama to a large group of excited Vermonters. making for the most memorable and surreal moment of her life. She is a UVM graduate and licensed civil engineer in Vermont and California. She loves her family, her employees, her many golf buddies and the world in general.

Louise DeCormier

Louise DeCormier is an actress, singer, and writer who studied with Sanford Meisner, David Pressman and Martha Graham at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater. She appeared in the national company of the Rogers/Hammerstein musical “Allegro,” and made several CDs of music for children with her husband, Robert De Cormier. She has also written five published Gothic novels with two friends. On moving to Vermont she and a theater colleague started a community theater in Mt. Holly, which produced a play each summer for 15 years. Louise has also appeared in two feature films, “Ethan Frome” and “Spitfire Grill;” she was a member of the Weston Playhouse Theater Company for 10 years.

Christina Sweet

Christina Sweet is a mother and dental hygienist who was born, raised and presently resides in Rutland City. She graduated from Rutland High School and UVM with a degree in dental hygiene and worked in pediatric dentistry before moving home to get her sociology degree from Castleton University. After working in area dental offices, Christina landed her “dream job” working in Rutland area schools saving kids’ teeth through the innovative Tooth Tutor Program. In 2010 she received her MPH from UNC – Chapel Hill. Christina has two young daughters with her husband Rich Sweet. This past August, Christina wanted to help her husband’s best friend and wife to expand their family and is currently 36 ½ weeks pregnant with their child.
