Dave Potter, candidate for House of Representatives, Rutland 2
I’m running for State House Representative in the Rutland 2 District for the towns of Clarendon, half of Rutland Town, Wallingford and West Rutland. I’m proud of my 16 years of legislative experience as a member of the VT House of Representatives and am anxious to get back to work for the residents of Rutland 2.
I taught at Rutland High School for 40 years, full and part time, biology, chemistry and driver education. I’m a Vietnam Veteran and served 4 1/2 years on active duty with the US Air Force, and another 28 years with the VT Air National Guard, retiring as a Lt. Col., Squadron Commander. My public service background also includes serving 14 years as a Clarendon Selectman, 6 years as a University of VT Board Trustee, 4 years on the VT Workforce Development Council, Rutland County Transportation Council, Rutland County Audubon Board of Directors, Rutland County Solid Waste District Board, and VT Woodland Association Board of Directors. I am a member of Wallingford Rotary, VT Farm Bureau and a Rutland Fair Auditor. I was honored in 2008 as the VT Tree Farmer of the Year.
I ask that on November 5 you vote to send me back to the Statehouse. Thank you.
